چکیده

The endangered medicinal plant Eryngium maritimum L. faces significant natural and anthropogenic threats. Therefore, in vitro propagation is recommended for both conservation commercial purposes. aim of the study was to develop a series protocols seed disinfection, multiplication rooting, ex field adaptation. For explant length temperature three consecutive disinfectants were investigated. Macrosalt modifications MS medium growth regulator addition media effect on axillary bud rate rooting studied. Survival leaf during adaptation response potting media, pot cell diameter, light spectrum tested. Seeds treated with diluted detergent at 40 °C 180 min, followed by 0.01% KMnO4 3 h bleach 11 achieved lower contamination high germination rate. Axillary proliferation enhanced reducing nitrogen content adding regulators. Potting size affect survival vitro. Timely transplantation conditions before overwintering increases plantlet survival. In present work, suitable foundation laid scaleup production E. micropropagation.

In Vitro Production of Bulblet in Galanthus transcaucasicus Fomin, an Endangered Medicinal Plant

To optimize conditions for micropropagating Galanthus transcaucasicus Fomin, the effect of explant type, different concentrations of sucrose, type and different concentrations of auxin were examined on bulblet production. For the induction of bulblets, three types of bulb scales were usesd as explants. A two-step sterilization procedure was applied. Assessments were made after incubation for 20...

Seed dormancy and germination of an endangered coastal plant Eryngium maritimum (Apiaceae)

Eryngium maritimum is a coastal plant of the Apiaceae family. This species is threatened in several countries where it reaches the northern limits of its distribution area. Existing populations in the Baltic Region and Scandinavia are potentially affected by the low efficiency of its generative reproduction. We studied physiological aspects of its germination and dormancy breaking requirements ...
